Vision, Renovation, Transformation

I

had the opportunity to see the transformation of a historical church I marketed and sold in the fall of 2022; with its origins dating back to 1929, the building held deep roots within the Peterson community in Morgan County. However, as the years passed, the congregation dwindled, and the building fell into disuse.

PJ & Lydia Gravis had a vision to breathe new life into this space. The renovation process was a delicate dance between preserving the historical integrity of the building and adapting it to modern needs.

The historical church building has been opened up to the community as a unique nightly rental and versatile gathering space for friends and family, workshops, and business meetings, is a testament to the power of preservation and innovation. This project not only safeguards our community's architectural heritage but also provides a vibrant venue where the echoes of the past harmonize with the aspirations of the present. As the doors of this revitalized space open to the community, it invites us all to celebrate the seamless marriage of history and progress.
